Autumn fragrance recommendations 2016!

Hey, gummy bears! With autumn finally here, I'm very excited to be bringing you my seasonal perfume recommendations. It's weird to think that it's already been a full year since my first ever perfume post... My fragrance collection has grown a lot since, and I've discovered many new scents that I'm very excited to share with you all. Personally, I think that autumn is perfect for perfumes that are quite bold, sweet and intense. My favourite autumn fragrance notes include earthy patchouli, caramel and amber; all of which will feature in today's list. Hope you enjoy!

Viktor & Rolf - BonBon (£45 for 50ml, Debenhams)
This is, hands down, one of the most delicious perfumes I've ever smelled. If I had to sum it up in one sentence, I'd say that it smells like a yummy caramel dessert with thick slices of juicy peach on top. BonBon is girly, likable, and very, very sweet. Having said that, it is not cloying or generic, like a lot of similar perfumes. BonBon is actually pretty complex, and the scent changes a lot as you wear it throughout the day. Sweet caramel is definitely the main note here, surrounded by a colourful palette of fruity-floral accords. This fragrance honestly smells good enough to eat, and I couldn't recommend it enough!

Try this if you like: Sweet, delicious fragrances that are also quite complex, such as Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture, Si by Armani, or Black Opium by Yves Saint Laurent.

Elie Saab - La Parfum Intense (£42 for 50ml, Elysian)
This one of the most elegant, sophisticated perfumes I've ever smelled. It's much more intense than the original La Parfum, which is quite fresh and more suitable for spring and summer months. This fragrance brings together warm notes of sweet honey, white florals and balsamic amber. It's very bold and potent, but there is also something very feminine and inviting about it. If you're familiar with Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle - La Parfum Intense is fairly similar, but sweeter and creamier. It really is a powerhouse of a fragrance, so a couple of sprays are enough to keep you smelling lovely and elegant all day.

Try this if you like: Elegant, sophisticated perfumes that are also wearable on a casual basis. If you enjoy perfumes like Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel, Cinema by Yves Saint Laurent or Miss Dior by Dior - you should definitely check this out!

Victoria's Secret - Noir Tease (£40 for 50ml, Victoria's Secret)
It wouldn't be a complete Shoes and Glitter recommendations list without a Victoria's Secret perfume! I decided to go with Noir Tease as my top autumn pick, because of how warm, sweet and comforting it smells. The fragrance supposedly combines notes of vanilla, pear and praline; but to me, it smells like straight-up chewy caramel sweets. If you're familiar with Juicy Couture's Viva La Juicy - Noir Tease is almost identical, but a little more on the fruity side. I honestly think that this is worth buying just for the bottle - the little pink pump is absolutely adorable!

Try this if you like: Anything by Victoria's Secret, and also perfumes that are sweet and delicious, such as Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture, Candy by Prada or Princess by Vera Wang.

Taylor Swift - Wonderstruck Enchanted (£22 for 100ml, allbeauty.com)
This perfume featured in my original autumn recommendations a year ago, but I just had to include again. It's just so lovely, feminine, likable, and a great option if you're on a budget. The quality is exceptional for a fragrance this well-priced - it doesn't smell cheap or generic, and it lasts all day long. The scent reminds me of creamy berries and sugar, but there is also something quite sensual and spicy about it. The bottle is one of the cutest things I've ever seen, but make sure you purchase 50ml size or above, as these include some lovely charms (I've lost mine, but you can see them in my original recommendations post).

Try this if you like: Sweet, fruity scents with a hint of something a little spicy, like Hidden Fantasy by Britney Spears, Killer Queen by Katy Perry or Rebelle by Rihanna.

Diesel - Loverdose (£28 for 50ml, Fragrance Direct)
Nothing speaks 'autumn' better than this perfume! It's a little too heavy and cloying to wear in the summer, but it's absolutely lovely during colder months. Funny thing about Loverdose - Diesel claims that it contains molecules which stimulate the part of the brain responsible for feelings of attraction and lust. Whilst I find that to be highly unlikely (hasn't worked for me, anyway!), I do really love this fragrance and I couldn't recommend it enough. It's sweet, spicy and warm; with notes of vanilla, licorice, star anise and amber. The bottle itself looks stunning, too; designed to resemble a heart-shaped diamond pierced by an arrow.

Try this if you like: Warm, comforting fragrances that are both sweet and spicy, such as Black XS by Paco Rabanne, Angel by Thierry Mugler or Lolita Lempicka by Lolita Lempicka.

Jimmy Choo - Jimmy Choo (£21 for 40ml, Elysian)
This perfume used to be very popular a few years back, and I'm sure that many of you are already familiar with it. Jimmy Choo smells sweet and delicious, but there is also something a little tropical about it. Toffee is definitely the main note here, surrounded by a colourful palette of pear, patchouli and vanilla accords. Patchouli especially is very interesting, and gives the overall fragrance an unusual, slightly dark edge. I think that this is one of the best modern mainstream perfumes, as it is very well-balanced with a hint of something a little unusual!

Try this if you like: Sweet perfumes that are also quite elegant and grown-up, such as Crystal Noir by Versace, Pour Femme by Dolce & Gabbana, or La Vie Est Belle by Lancome.

Have you tried any of these perfumes? What are your favourite autumn scents?
