Bargain finds - bareMinerals 'You're so sweet!' eyeshadow set - review & swatches

Hey beauties! Today, I'm going to talk about my most recent find - this gorgeous eyeshadow set by bareMinerals, called 'Thank You, You're So Sweet!'. I picked it up at my local TK Maxx for just £14.99 (!), and so far, it has been a wonderful addition to my makeup collection. This set contains eight loose pigment eyeshadows; each inspired by a different delicious dessert. As far as I know, most of these shades are limited edition, so this may be a good opportunity to get your hands on some of the harder-to-find eyeshadows!

The packaging is one of my favourite  things about this set. It's really cute, creative and ideal for a gift. There is even a little bit of space on the front to write your name, and who you're gifting it to. Each loose pigment comes in its own little jar - they're slightly smaller than regular eyeshadows, but it still works out as great value for money (£14.99 for eight eyeshadows, whereas individual bareMinerals pigments cost about £9 each).

This was actually my first time trying loose pigments. They tend to be more difficult to work with than regular pressed eyeshadows, and you have to be careful with the application to avoid fall-out. If you're clumsy (like me), it's quite easy to make them spill all over the place! That being said, the colour pay-off is definitely worth the extra effort. The pigmentation of these shades is brilliant - the colours are vibrant, intense, and very true to how they look in the packaging. They are also incredibly versatile - you can use them as more than just eyeshadows. The darker shades work as an eyeliner, whereas the lighter shades can be used as a blush or a highlighter. This set contains one shimmer, one matte, one satin and five glimmer shades. The glimmer eyeshadows are especially gorgeous - they give a subtle, sheen finish with a hint of sparkle.

Dulce de Leche - pink beige shimmer. This is the lightest shade in this set; perfect for highlighting the brow bone.
Strawberry Mousse - frothy pink glimmer. This is a delicate, light pink with a hint of glimmer.
Vanilla Sugar - medium golden vanilla satin. A creamy vanilla shade with peachy undertones. The satin finish really catches the light, creating a 'glowing' effect.
Caramel Delight - caramel glimmer. This is a light brown shade with a hint of golden glimmer.

Cupcake - light champagne pink glimmer. One of my favourites in this set. I actually used it as a blush/highlighter and it worked beautifully!
Cocoa - sugared cocoa matte. The only matte shade in this set. This is a medium brown shade with purple undertones.
Dark Chocolate - smoky dark chocolate glimmer. I absolutely adore this shade and the way it 'sparkles' when applied. This is perfect for creating a casual smokey eye!
Angel Food Cake - sparkling rose glimmer. This has to be my favourite shade in the set. I like combining this one with Cupcake for a more rosy smokey eye look.

Overall, I think this is a brilliant set of eyeshadows, and it deserves a place in any makeup collection. For £14.99 you get eight high-quality shades which are wonderfully pigmented and last all day. The only downside is the messy application process, but the colour pay-off is worth the effort. Overall I'd give this set 8/10. This is a wonderful gift idea if you're looking to purchase makeup for Christmas, or just want to treat yourself to something cute and practical!

Have you tried any of the bareMinerals loose eyeshadows? Do you enjoy using loose pigments?
